Sales tax proposal makes it to 2nd reading amid public comments

    Amid several comments from the public expressing concern over the possibility of a county sales tax being included on the Nov. 4 ballot, the Madison County Quorum Court at Monday’s meeting unanimously approved the sales-tax ordinances for their second reading.
