Arkansas Lifeline Program
Madison County Telephone Company supports
Universal Service and making telecommunication services available for all
consumers. This company is pleased to offer programs that provide financial
assistance to eligible individuals. Lifeline Service is a program that makes
telecommunications affordable for qualifying residential customers of Madison
County Telephone Company by providing discounts. Discounts include waiving the
monthly Federal Subscriber Line Charge of $6.50 and providing a monthly
discount of $1.75 off the local service rate. Program is restricted to one line
residential household occupied by the customer.
To qualify for Lifeline, applicants must be
participants in at least one of the following programs:
- Temporary Assistance to Needy Families
- Department of Housing and Urban Development
- Medicaid
- Food Stamps
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance Program
- Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
Qualifying customers will have to apply and
verify status with the Department of Human Services to be eligible for the
Lifeline program. Applicants must verify their status of eligibility each year
with the Department of Human services in order to continue to receive the
discounts. Lifeline customers are responsible for notifying Madison County
Telephone Company about any changes affecting qualification.
