| Please help us welcome our newest staff member, Nedra Pena. She
will be working as the solid waste and recycling educator. Nedra is enrolled in her final
semester at the Northwest Arkansas Community College in Rogers. Upon completion she will
have a degree in Environmental Regulatory Science. The degree covers the environmental
regulations for business practices set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency and
Occupational Safety and Health Administration. She also has extensive knowledge of
hazardous materials, emergency clean-up methods, and proper disposal. Nedra grew up in Brazil before moving to the Southern US. She and her husband recently settled in Huntsville where they have a laying operation with Tyson. She is fluent in Spanish and looks forward to reaching out to all members of our community. We are very excited to have Nedra on board to continue the educational efforts of the Recycling Center. Please give her a warm hello when you see her! |
