Look for the code on the bottom of the bottle.

Pop bottles, peanut butter jars etc. Clear and green.

Milk and water jugs, liquid laundry detergent, shampoo bottles, etc. Colored and natural.

Clean Aluminum Foil & Pie Pans

(Including aluminum screen)

NO Layered packaging like potato chip bags, aluminum coverings on yogurt containers, etc.

Window Glass/Tempered Glass - must be free of dirt and rocks

NO mirrors

Videos tapes CD’s and diskettes

White Goods/Appliances/Scrap Steel Washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, hot water heaters, etc. for a small fee (we recover freon); we take scrap steel every day at no charge; call ahead for big loads.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Blue Bag Recycling (you must purchase specially marked blue bags)

Area residents can recycle at their mailbox or driveway for no extra hauling fee. Simply separate your recyclables into specially marked blue bags available at area grocery stores and convenience stores. Please do not mix Containers, (Blue Bag #1), with Paper, (Blue Bag #2). Check with the Recycling Center or your trash hauler to see if the program is available to you. We have Blue Bag brochures available that explain the following:

BLUE Bag #1:Containers (mix all containers in one bag; no paper please !!)

No plate glass, ceramic, Pyrex or light bulbs.

Steel/Tin

Plastic BOTTLES ONLY

No Plastic Bags or Toys
No Motor Oil or Pesticide Bottles

No Lids or Tubs

As a courtesy to the haulers, please limit your Blue Bags to 35 lbs.

Check labels of substances in your house. If any of the following words are used, the substance is considered hazardous and must be disposed of properly:

Flammable • Toxic • Explosive

Hazardous • Corrosive or • Poisonous

 

Hazardous waste cannot be accepted from business.

Electronics Recycling

Computers—monitor, keyboard, mouse, CPU, and speakers

VCR’s, TV’s, and printers.

There is a small fee to recycle electronics.
